Congratulations on your Engagement!
I'm so excited for you both and I'm so excited that you are considering me to capture your special day. This Wedding Guide will provide you with all the details on what to know before you decide to book with me, as well as let you know what you can expect from your booking date all the way through to the delivery of your images.
Second, decide on a budget
What do you absolutely need from a photographer? How much do you value your photography versus your DJ? What are you willing to spend on a photographer? Is this budget flexible?
Hop on a Phone Call
It's so important to connect through more than a screen! When you inquire, we'll hop on a phone call and I'll ask you more detailed questions about your wedding day. I want to get you and your partner, I want to get excited about your vision and make sure we're the right fit for eachother! This will give me an idea of how much coverage you'll need and I'll give you a pricing quote!
Congratulations, you're booked!
Woohoo! One part of wedding planning down.
If you haven't taken engagement photos yet, let's set up a date to get those done!
I'll always be a single text away whenever you need me - a lot of my brides will come to me for hair and makeup artist recommendations or ask my opinion about their decorations, etc. I'm always happy to help you in any way that I can. I love seeing photos of your dress and bouquets!
I want to be able to provide as much insight as I can to help you prepare for your big day. I teamed up with Consumer's Advocate to share with you their article on Wedding Insurance. When you're spending an average of $30k on your wedding, how will you protect yourself in case of an emergency? What kind of coverage do you need? How much will it cost? Consumer's Advocate answers this all for you in their Wedding Insurance Guide.
One month out from your wedding date, you can expect to see a questionnaire in your email inbox from me. This is just a fun little form that allows me to get to know you and your partner better and also allows us to finalize all the details! If we have met in person, I may have already asked you some of these questions.
I'll also help you plan out the timeline of your day. This will help both of us have a better understanding of how much time I have to get the shots I need. One thing I recommend is by having either your portraits or your ceremony be an hour or two before sunset. This will allow the best light of the day to be shining on you while I capture all the important memories. This varies depending on if you're having a summer or winter wedding, so feel free to ask me about it, or google 'Sunset on <your wedding date>' to find the perfect time.
Congratulations, now you're married!
While you head off to celebrate your honeymoon, I'll get to work on your images. Expect your images to be edited and ready in about 2 - 4 weeks.
You'll receive your images in a beautiful gallery that you can share with your family and friends. You'll also be able to download your images straight from the gallery using a custom PIN number. And the best part? You can order all your prints and Christmas cards with just a few clicks. You can read about ordering prints and cards on my blog post here.
